Defective Products/Drugs

New Jersey has a strong interest in encouraging the manufacture and distribution of safe products for the public. As a result, New Jersey has enacted the Product Liability Act, N.J.S.A. 2A:58C-1 to -11. According to the Act, the manufacturer of a defectively designed, manufactured or labeled product is strictly liable for injuries or damages that occur. Many defective products are fire hazards putting the consumer at risk for burns and property damage.

If you are injured or suffer property damage from a defective product, it is crucial that you consult an attorney before the product or accident scene is altered. Many product defect cases require experts to examine the product and scene to determine the nature and cause of the defect. The manufacturer also has a right to examine the product. In certain cases, the attorney must obtain a court order to prevent alteration of the product.

If you or a loved one has suffered injuries from a defective product, contact RAM Law for a free consultation to discuss your right to compensation.
