Rebenack Settles Auto Accident Litigation for $294,000
RAM Law’s client, a Hudson County Sheriff’s Officer, was rear-ended while transporting a prisoner to the Middlesex County Jail. The client suffered immediate neck pain which radiated down his arm and into his hand. He ultimately had surgery for a herniated disc in his neck and additional surgery to correct carpel tunnel syndrome. RAM Law filed a Workers’ Compensation action to ensure that the client received the necessary medical treatment. A claim was submitted to the insurance company for the other driver who quickly paid $49,000 out of a $50,000 policy. RAM Law then pursued additional compensation from his own insurance company for underinsured motorist (UIM) benefits. The second insurance company paid $245,000 out of a $250,000 policy. The client recieved a total settlement of $294,000.
